A friendly and informal group for all those interested in film criticism, analysis and appreciation – essentially a book club for movies.

Each month, we select two films from those freely available on BBC iPlayer for members to view at home in advance. We then meet to discuss both the visual and narrative content of each film together with performances, genre and historical context illustrated with film clips and trailers. There is also an opportunity at the end of each meeting for members to recommend the best film they have seen in the previous month - either in the cinema or on TV.
